Out the front of our house we haven an Illyarrie tree, which looks very attractive with the red cap flowers. However, as it is exposed, it often loses branches in the wind. Yesterday one branch even fell on the letterbox.
Today I had to saw the two branches up. I used loppers to chop the short lengths off then a saw to cut the two branches into two lengths. Using the handsaw was a bit exhausting but a good workout! đ
Lesson: it would have been good to plant the Illyarrie closer to another tree and plant the bottlebrush next to the letterbox, instead of right in front of the house. You can learn from our mistake! đ
