Porridge is a good meal to have in winter, but you can have it in summer if you really want! Especially when it's stacked with tasty things on top. Check out this combo and see if this is something you want to give a go.
You will need:
Half a cup of rolled oats
Half a cup of water
Quarter cup of milk
Molasses
Sliced strawberries (or sliced dates, or some kind of fruit in small pieces)
Roasted almonds
Cook Those Oats
Put the oats, water and milk into a saucepan and bring to the boil on a stove. With the lid on is best, but watch out for the frothing - I usually keep a close eye on it.
Once boiling, take the lid off - before it makes a mess, like it has done to me many times. (Yes, I cleaned that stove beforehand.) Leave on simmer for four minutes or so. When done, put on a heat mat - benches have feelings, too.
And put some fruit in.
Then some molasses.
And finally, almonds. Breakfast time 😎
